About Our Association

The Jamaica Insurance Brokers Association (JIBA) is a limited liability company and member of the Private  Sector Organization of Jamaica (PSOJ), set up to represent the interests of  Insurance Brokers islandwide.   JIBA is the voice of the broking industry, advising its members, working with the regulatory body –  the Financial Services Commission (FSC), consumer and industry associations and other stakeholders on key insurance issues.  The  organization provides technical advice, guidance on regulatory requirements and is consistent in its effort to raise and maintain industry standards. Of importance is that  it also educates the insuring public about the importance,  tremendous value and difference that an Insurance Broker can make to their insuring experience.

All of JIBA members are regulated advisers who pride themselves on the highest standard of professional advice and wide range of products and services they offer, focused always on the client’s  individual needs and requirements.

A JIBA member is subject to screening before being admitted as a member and must also agree to enforceable codes of conduct and practice.  They  must also subscribe to a complaints facility which is set up by the association to effectively receive and resolve complaints to ensure that the highest level of service and client satisfaction is maintained.
